I used adobe photoshop, aftereffects, and illustrator to create 3 separate graphic posters. Each symbol was carefully chosen to communicate layers of meaning, reflecting the complexities and emotional depth of the ongoing events in Gaza:

  1. The Dove: Universally recognized as a symbol of peace, the dove in this series likely represents a longing for resolution, harmony, and an end to violence. Its presence can evoke a sense of hope, even in the face of turmoil, serving as a call for global attention to the need for peace in the region.
  2. The Olive Branch: Traditionally linked with peace and reconciliation, the olive branch also has strong ties to Middle Eastern culture and history. In this context, it may symbolize a bridge between the past and the present, emphasizing the need for unity and understanding, while also acknowledging the deep-rooted struggles faced by the people of Gaza.
  3. The Poppy: Often associated with remembrance, particularly of those lost in conflict, the poppy in your designs may serve as a visual representation of the lives affected by the ongoing events. It reminds viewers of the human cost of war and conflict, urging them not to forget the individuals behind the headlines. The poppy also adds a poignant, emotional layer to the visuals, turning viewers' thoughts toward empathy and action.
  4. The Moon: Symbolizing cycles, change, and resilience, the moon may represent the enduring spirit of those impacted by the events in Gaza. It reflects the passage of time, perhaps hinting at both the long history of the region's struggles and the potential for a new beginning. The moon also carries spiritual and cultural significance, adding depth and connection to the region's heritage.

Together, these symbols combine to create a narrative of both remembrance and hope. They balance a somber reflection on loss with a forward-looking message of peace and resilience.
